Bergann’s Lane is a Sunshine Coast Regional Council managed walkway, approximately 9 km from Maleny. It is a 30 meter wide road reserve, traversing rolling green farmland to either side. At the Bergann’s Lane end there is a section of uncleared remnant rainforest that is a reminder of the original forest cover of the area.
In 2005 Caloundra City Council opened the Bergann’s Lane Walk to the public after extensive weed control and revegetation works (inc. over 5000 plantings) undertaken by Brush Turkey Enterprises. The revegetation works are already providing valuable habitat linkage for native birds and fauna to move through the farmland. Bird watchers will enjoy the walk for its variety of habitats. Enjoy this easy stroll along grassy walkways and through forest tracks.
